Another round of games is set to kickoff in the Leagues Cup after yesterday’s magic, headlined by Lionel Messi’s debut and winning free kick goal. We have all the match previews for todays July 22nd fixtures.

CF Montreal vs Pumas UNAM (7:30 E.T)

First ever meeting head to head between both sides. Mexican teams haven’t played in Canada since Club America beat Montreal in the 2015 Concacaf Champions League Final.
Montreal comes into the matchup having just snapped a winless streak of 4 games.
UNAM are coming off consecutive ties in their Liga Mx season.

NY Red Bulls vs NE Revolution (7:30 E.T.)

Head to Head: NYRB 16 wins, NE Revs 11 wins. 7 draws.
An inconsistent season has NYRB in 11th place and 4 points below the playoff line.

RSL are on a fantastic run of form and have not lost a game since May 31st. Currently in 3rd place in the Western Conference.
Seattle have been consistent this season but haven’t won in two games. Currently in 4th place in the Western Conference.
Only 1 point separate the two teams in MLS standings.

San Jose Earthquakes vs Portland Timbers (10:00 E.T)

Head to Head: PTFC 18 wins, SJEQ 6 wins, 11 Draws.
San Jose has enjoyed an unusually consistent season where they haven’t been on any crazy winning or losing streaks which were a staple of the Almeyda era.
Portland are not having a good season, they have struggled to find consistent scoring and currently sit 12 in the Western Conference Standings.
