President Trump issues ultimatum to Hamas: Comply to demands or ‘It is OVER for you’

President Donald Trump warned Hamas to free the remaining hostages in Gaza after the White House confirmed it had held face-to-face talks with the militant group on a deal to secure their release.

“Release all of the Hostages now, not later, and immediately return all of the dead bodies of the people you murdered, or it’s OVER for you” Mr Trump posted on Truth Social.

Trump also added that he is “sending Israel everything it needs to finish the job, not a single Hamas member will be safe if you don’t do as I say.” He also told the people of Gaza that “a beautiful future awaits” them, but not if they hold the Israeli hostages.

The comments came just hours after the US confirmed reports that it was negotiating directly with Hamas about hostages and the Gaza ceasefire. The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office said it had “expressed to the United States its position regarding direct talks with Hamas.”

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Israel was consulted but did not say whether that happened before or after talks that she described as part of Trump’s “good faith effort to do what’s right for the American people.”

A path to peace seems attainable, but it can only be seen through with caution, and if terror group Hamas returns the hostages they keep, dead and alive, in an expeditious manner.
