New Poll: Trump leading comfortably in must-win states
According to a new set of Marist polls, Donald Trump holds comfortable leads over Kamala Harris in Florida, Ohio, and Texas. These states will be crucial for him to win if he has any chance of returning to the White House this January.
The results of this poll show similar numbers to his wins in the last election. In 2020, Trump won Florida by 3.5 points, Ohio by 8 points, and Texas by by 5.5 points.
Neither Trump nor Harris seem to be putting much emphasis on any of these states, with both campaigns focusing on Wisconsin, Michigan, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Nevada, and North Carolina. All signs point towards close races, with polling averages showing no clear leader and the numbers within the margin of error.
However, Democrat Senate candidates have been troubled by Kamala Harris’ recent numbers in their respective states. This was further confirmed on Wednesday when Quinnipiac dropped a set of polls showing Kamala leading in Pennsylvania, but losing in Wisconsin and Michigan, two states she cannot afford to lose come November.
