Pentagon readies 1500 soldiers to possibly deploy to Minnesota

The Pentagon has ordered about 1,500 active-duty soldiers to prepare for a possible deployment to Minnesota, the Washington Post reported on Sunday, citing defense officials.

The Army placed the units on prepare-to-deploy orders in case violence in the state escalates, the Washington Post report said. The move comes after President Donald Trump threatened to use the Insurrection Act if officials in the state don’t stop protesters from targeting immigration officials.

“If the corrupt politicians of Minnesota don’t obey the law and stop the professional agitators and insurrectionists from attacking the Patriots of ICE, who are only trying to do their job, I will institute the INSURRECTION ACT,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post on Thursday.

The Pentagon and the White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment. This comes as tensions continue to escalate in the aftermath of Renee Good’s death.

This follows a pattern of left wing agitators attempting to impede ICE from doing its job to deport illegal residents in the country. Many left wing cities have openly defied federal law to prevent law enforcement from deporting illegal aliens.

Many left wing protestors accost and assault ICE officers in the street, which in turn creates the possibility for more violence and harm for people on both sides. This is a tinderbox that could escalate tensions even further.

Neither side looks to be backing down, so it is difficult to see how things don’t continue to escalate, much less deescalate. If we’re not careful, we could see violence and death breaking out in cities across America.
