Will there be a ceasefire between Israel and Iran?

President Trump said Israel and Iran agreed to a cease-fire that he said could lead to the end of the war between the countries. Earlier, Iran had launched missiles at a US base in Qatar, officials said, prompting the UAE, Bahrain and Kuwait to close their airspaces. The US military intercepted missiles and there were no casualties.
Iran warned Qatar before Monday’s attack and Trump said that the early notice “made it possible for no lives to be lost and nobody to be injured” while indicating he hoped for peace in the region.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei delivered a firm message that Tehran would respond when attacked. The US launched weekend strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, joining Israel’s attacks on the country’s nuclear program.
The UN’s atomic-agency chief said US attacks on Iran’s Fordow enrichment site likely caused “very significant damage.” Israel followed up with strikes to entry points to Fordow.
While Trump has said that there has been a ceasefire, we still don’t have definitive evidence that this is indeed the case.
