Voters were also asked who they would support in a head to head match up between Former President Trump and President Biden, with respondents reporting a tie at 44%-44%.
The biggest issue for voters in the poll was immigration, with 79% expressing dissatisfaction with current policies on immigration. This included 58% saying they were dissatisfied because immigration should be more restrictive, and 21% saying immigration should be less restrictive. This comes as the House, Senate, and President are yet to come to agreement on a new border bill.
Joe Biden has seen a record number of border crossings for a president in his first three years in office. Republicans have looked to capitalize on this issue. Yesterday, Speaker Mike Johnson used his first house floor speech to hammer the President’s job on protecting the southern border.
The poll surveyed 1,217 registered voters across the United States, with a margin of error of 2.9%. The Poll is just the latest in a long series of troubling polls for the Biden, as his re-election campaign kicks into full swing.
