Liverpool Player Ratings vs Tottenham

Liverpool fell 2-1 to Tottenham in a heartbreaking loss at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Liverpool went down to 9 men and it looked like they were going to sneak out with a draw, but a late goal by Tottenham took those hopes away.

Starting 11

Becker: 7.5 – Had some great saves including a world class save on Son. Nothing he could’ve done on the own goal.

Robertson: 6.5 created a fair bit of chances in the match and almost finished off one of them. He was also quite good in defense.

Van Dijk: 7 – Made some massive clearances, nothing he could’ve done in the end.

Matip: 5 –Crucial in defense, extremely unfortunate to give up an own goal.

Gomez: 5 – Got caught ball watching on the first Tottenham goal, but otherwise did a good job defending.

Jones: 3 – Arguably shouldn’t have been sent off, but still made a poor decision.

Mac Allister: 6 – Covered a lot of ground in the middle, and was good in possession.

Szoboszial: 6 –Had some good long passes and kept possesion well.

Diaz: 5 – Electric at times, should’ve scored a tap in.

Gakpo: 7 – Great Finish and unfortunate to pickup an injury.

Salah: 6 –Didn’t have much attacking to do after both red cards, but did have a good pass to Diaz that should’ve been finished.

Subs

Jota: 2 – Foolishly got himself sent off.

Alexander-Arnold: 5 – Did a decent job defending when he came on

Endo: 4 – Should’ve made a tactical foul on the second Tottenham goal.

Konate: 6 –Came on and had great positioning in defense. Did not let tottenham in behind.

Gravenberch: 5 – Did his job of defending when he came on
