Player Ratings – Manchester United fall to Tottenham
Manchester United fell 2-0 to Tottenham Hotspur in what started as a good performance and finished with a horrible second half. Ten Hag will have to reassess things within his team as it has been a rough two games to start the season.
Starting 11
Onana: 5 – Not much to say with regards to his performance. Perhaps he could’ve been better in possession.
Varane: 6 Was decent in the back and had some good clearances.
Martinez: 6 – Got stuck in on every tackle. Unlucky deflections on both spurs goals.
Shaw: 6.5 –Had a fantastic ball to Bruno in the first half and a crucial block on Son.
Wan-Bissaka: 5 – Picked up a yellow early
Mount: 5.5 – Defended well but was anonymous in attack
Casemiro: 6 –Always solid in possession, but wasn’t a factor in the attack apart from a good heading chance he had on goal.
Garnacho: 5 – Unluky with his final passes, was more effective in attack when playing simple. Was probably unlucky to not win a penalty aswell.
Fernandes: 7 – Created a good deal of chances, and had a beautiful rabona pass to Rashford, but missed a sitter.
Antony: 4 – Smacked the post once, but gave the ball away loads of times.
Rashford: 6 – showed his dribbling prowess, but it ultimately led to very little. Missed a half chance in the first half.
SUBS
Dalot: 5 – Second goal came from his side, but did make some good runs in attack. Final ball just wasn’t there.
Eriksen: 5.5 –Didn’t really have any meaningful involvements apart from an unfortunate slip in the back.
Sancho: 5.5 Had a few good dribbles when he came on, that was it.
Martial: 4 – Didn’t notice he had came on
Pellistri: 6 – Won himself a foul and almost won himself a pen.
The Butcher is making Manchester United supporters call for the return Harry Maguire. Two stinkers so far for Lisandro.
