Democrats hold up tiny signs, as Trump delivers fiery speech to joint session of Congress

WASHINGTON – President Trump delivered a fiery speech to a joint session of congress on Tuesday as exuberant Republicans cheered on, and despondent looking Democrats held up signs protesting the 47th President.
Some of the signs read ‘Musk Steals, ‘False’, and ‘Save Medicaid’. Most Democrat members of Congress sat throughout the speech and looked disinterested to what the President was saying.
One member of Congress that did make his voice heard was Rep. Al Greene (D), who stood up shortly after the President started talking, yelling “You have no mandate”, to the President.
Trump’s speech focused on a wide range of his policies and at times, sounded like a victory speech, just a month and a half into his second term. During the first part of his speech President Trump flexed his historic last election win, record-low border crossings, and work on the Department of Government Efficiency.
The second part of his speech pivoted to his tariff policy, recognizing that prices may go up in the short term, with hopes that it would benefit American workers in the long run. He also recognized the families of victims murdered by illegal immigrants and pitched his border policy to Americans, pledging to “complete the largest deportation operations in the nations history”, and “bring back law and order to our cities in town”.
Possibly the most kind hearted moment of the night was when President Trump gave 13 year old DJ Daniels, who is suffering from brain cancer and dreams of becoming a police officer, membership to the US Secret Service.
