Kamala Harris Senior Advisor – ‘We like what we’re seeing in early vote. There’s not an army of Incels’
In an appearance on the ‘Pod Save America’ podcast, Senior Advisor to the Harris Campaign David Plouffe commented on what he views as positive early voting trends for the Harris campaign. “We particularly like what we’re not seeing on the Trump data which is there’s not an army of kind of incels showing up in early vote given their voting history.”
This comes following a targeted attempt by the Trump campaign of driving out young male voters, a voting block that historically hasn’t shown up to the polls in large numbers. Trump has appeared on a number of podcasts targeting this demographic including the Full Send Podcast, Theo Von, Flagrant, Lex Fridman, and more.
Trump announced on Saturday that he will be appearing on Joe Rogan before the election. Joe Rogan’s podcast amasses an impressive 200 million downloads per month.
On the other hand, The Harris campaign has been rumored to be having their own struggles with the male vote. Just last week, former President Barack Obama appeared at a Harris field office in Michigan, and spoke out against black men that are seemingly hesitant to vote for Kamala Harris, “We have not yet seen the same kinds of energy and turnout in all corners of our neighborhoods and communities as we saw when I was running, Now, I also want to say that that seems to be more pronounced with the brothas’.”
In an attempt to appeal to more men, Kamala Harris dispatched her running mate, Gov. Tim Walz.
Walz spent time in his home state of Minnesota where he attended the Mankato East vs Mankato West rivalry game on Friday. Walz was the assistant coach of Mankato West when they won the state championship 25 years ago. On Saturday, he went pheasant hunting, but came back empty handed. Despite that, he had a positive outlook on the outing, “There’s good days and there’s great days pheasant hunting.”
With 22 days until the election, both sides will look to shore up their support among the male vote, a demographic that could play a bigger part in the election, than any time before.
