Ryan Girdusky fires back after CNN bans him for beeper comment to Mehdi Hasan

Ryan Girdusky has sounded off on CNN after the network banned him for referencing the Israeli operation that exploded Hezbollah’s beepers in response to Mehdi Hasan’s implication that Donald Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden resembled that of Nazis.

In a heated moment about Trump’s rally at MSG, Hasan stated, “if you don’t want to be called Nazis, stop doing, stop saying things”.

Girdusky then interrupted him to say “You’ve been called antisemitic more than anyone.”

Hasan responded with “I am in support of the Palestinians, so I am used to it.”

Girdusky then stated “Yeah well I hope your beeper doesn’t go off”.

CNN quickly took him off the air and came to Hasan’s defense, releasing a statement banning Girdusky from the network.

“There is zero room for racism or bigotry at CNN or on our air. We aim to foster thoughtful conversations and debate including between people who profoundly disagree with each other in order to explore important issues and promote mutual understanding. But we will not allow guests to be demeaned or for the line of civility to be crossed. Ryan Girdusky will not be welcomed back at our network.”

In a post on X, Girdusky expressed his puzzlment at why Hasan didn’t receive an equal condemnation for his words, stating in part “I’m glad America gets to see what CNN stands for.”
