Trump Assassination Motive Still A Mystery, According To The FBI
The FBI said that the man who attempted to kill former President Donald Trump acted alone and there is no sign of foreign involvement. FBI officials stressed that a motive for the assassination attempt remains unknown.
They also claim that Thomas Crooks – the 20-year-old assailant – had a “mixture of ideologies”. The FBI described Crooks’s search history, and released photos of the gun he used and the improvised explosive devices found in his car.
Kevin Rojek, head of the FBI’s Pittsburgh office, said that Crooks began searching online for Trump campaign events starting in September 2023. “When… the Trump rally was announced early in July, he became hyper-focused on that specific event and looked at it as a target of opportunity,” Mr Rojek said.
Rojek also said that “we see no definitive ideology associated with our subject, either left leaning or right leaning.” Additionally, several members of the Secret Service were placed on administrative leave following the security lapse that led to the near assassination of former President Donald Trump.
Kimberly Cheatle, the director of the Secret Service at the time of the shooting, stepped down from her position last month after facing intense pressure from lawmakers.
It should be noted that because of the left’s overwhelming preponderance of power and influence in American media, agencies, and institutions of power, it is not a surprise that, absent indisputable and completely overwhelming evidence, they are claiming that the assassination attempt on Donald Trump did not come from left wing or anti-Trump zealotry.
While we cannot yet claim with complete certainty that left wing zealotry was the sole cause of the assassination attempt, it is very likely that these things contributed largely to Crooks’ assassination attempt.
Registering as a Republican, the act from Crooks that the media, institutions, and American left are using to try to muddy the waters, is not a sign of political leanings, considering that people can and do register with the part they disagree with to negatively influence candidates they dislike in that political party.
Donating to liberal or conservative causes, something that Crooks did on the liberal side, is actually contributing to actions of said political causes. Mental illness may have also played a factor, but it is clear that the FBI is taking particular steps to rule out left wing anti Trump hatred as the cause for the near assassination of the former President, when that remains a possibility.
