Support Grows In Israel For Offensive Against Hezbollah

In Israel’s fight against terrorism, they are confronted by enemies on all sides. All the Arab nations around them are hostile to Israel’s very existence, much less their fight against terrorism.

As Israel has been surgically dismantling the terror group Hamas and their leaders, they have been under increased threat from Hezbollah and their backers in Tehran. Hezbollah is a Shia terror group based in Lebanon, which is essentially an arm of Iran.

As we have seen Israel degrade Hamas, Hezbollah has vowed to step in to the aid of their fellow terrorists. And Iran has become more and more belligerent, indicating that they will attack Israel.

There is now a debate in Israel about whether now is the right time to launch an offensive attack against Hezbollah, or whether to try to de-escalate. Considering that these countries have blamed Israel no matter how many peace deals they offered, or even after Israel removed their own citizens from Gaza, no amount of holding back from Israel will make any difference.

Likely for this reason, as well as the safety of their people, more people in Israel support an IDF offensive against Hezbollah. Better to neutralize them before they can harm Israeli civilians.

Israel and Hezbollah may already be at war, so any holding back by Israel is likely to only hamstring their efforts to protect their citizens, while gaining no sympathy from the bad faith anti-Israel crowd. How will things end up? Only time will tell.
