Trump calls on SCOTUS to step in: ‘Supreme Court Must Decide’

Donald Trump has publicly called on the Supreme Court to review his conviction in the New York hush money case. Trump was convicted of 34 felony counts on Thursday, becoming the first president to ever be convicted of a crime.

“United States Supreme Court MUST DECIDE” said Trump in a post on his Truth Social platform. He also called out DA Alvin Bragg and Judge Merchan for scheduling the sentencing date 4 days before the Republican National Convention, calling it a “decision that will determine the future of the nation”.

Trump will have to go through the New York Appeal’s process before going to the Supreme Court, but it’s not out of the realm of possibility. Trump currently has a presidential immunity case in front of the Supreme Court, where oral arguments have already taken place. In a 9-0 decision, Trump won his previous case in front of the Supreme Court where the State of Colorado argued that he should be banned from the ballot after engaging in ‘insurrection’. Trump will look to add to this positive ruling.
