Has Iran started their attack on Israel? Iran-backed Hezbollah has begun firing rockets into Northern Israel. Thankfully, all of the rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome defense system. Hezbollah has said their goal is to deplete Israel’s Iron Dome interceptors.
Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for the rocket barrage on the Galilee Panhandle. They said that Katyusha rockets targeted IDF artillery positions. No casualties or injuries have been reported as of now. This development comes amid Israel-Iran tensions in the aftermath of the Israeli strikes on the Iranian embassy in Syria, which drew a strong response from Tehran.
The Israeli Defense Forces said that nearly 40 rockets were launched from Lebanon toward northern Israel. The IDF also said air defenses shot down two explosive-laden drones launched by Hezbollah at northern Israel. It is unclear if this is part of a wider attack on Israel.
These attacks have been orchestrated by the Iranian regime. Tehran funds groups like Hezbollah, the Houthis and Hamas to attack Israel.
