SNF Grades: The San Francisco 49ers Humiliate The Dallas Cowboys
The San Francisco 49ers defeated the Dallas Cowboys 42-10 on Sunday Night Football at Levi’s Stadium to improve to 5-0 for the season.
Offense: A: 49ers QB threw for four touchdowns and yards. The offense was a well oiled machine, mixing up the pass and run game effectively. George Kittle was a standout, with 3 touchdown catches. Christian McCaffery had his typically solid night with 51 yards and a rushing touchdown Jordan Mason also had a touchdown. When the 49ers score 42 points, you know their opponent stands no chance. 2 minutes into the 4th Quarter, at 42-10, the 49ers were able to give their starters a rest.
Defense: A: Their typical dominant selves. The Cowboys had trouble getting into any kind of rhythm and the 49ers defense was simply smothering. Forced turnovers, prevented any type of ball movement, and effectively pressured Dad Prescott, who simply could not cope. Forced THREE interceptions. You can’t run effectively against the 49ers and you can’t pass effectively against the 49ers. What can you do? Not much.
Special Teams: B+: Nothing out of the ordinary. Then again, with how dominant the 49ers were on the night, nothing was really needed from the special teams unity, besides not making a huge mistake. And they didn’t make any glaring mistakes.
Coaching: A-: This 49ers team is simply a juggernaut, so it makes coaching easier. But with such a comprehensive victory, you have to give coach Kyle Shanahan credit.
