Player Ratings – Chelsea vs Arsenal
Chelsea drew Arsenal 2-2 what looked to be a commanding performance at Stamford Bridge, but was spoiled by a couple lapses in judgment by a couple Chelsea players. It will be one that got away from Chelsea today.
Starting 11
Sanchez: 5 – Was having decent game until that giveaway to Rice that he finished off easily for a goal.
Gusto: 6 – Locked down Martinelli and was electric down the wing. Unfortunately, fell asleep on the second Arsenal goal which tainted an overall class performance.
Cucurella: 7.5 – Was Saka even in the game today? No, he was in Cucurella’s pocket. What a performance. Unfortunately it was tainted by the late Arsenal goals.
Thiago Silva: 7 – His experience on the backline is so evident. So cool on the ball, and so good in his positioning today.
Cowill: 7 – Did well to keep the strikers in check, and didn’t panic on the ball. Made the right decisions more often than not.
Caicedo: 6 – Solid performance and didn’t make any clear mistakes in the middle. Still waiting for him to fully break out of his shell
Enzo: 6.5 – Has so much quality with his feet and had some great switches. Could’ve made better decisions at times.
Gallagher: 7 –It really was a good 70 minutes from Gallagher, he showed a lot grit in defending and got the better of the Arsenal midfield along with Enzo and Moises. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough.
Sterling: 7- Showed good energy, was very involved, and had plenty of moments in attack.
Mudryk: 7 – Won the penalty and scored the second goal, whether it was a cross or not. (It was)
Palmer: 7.5 Great linkup play in the first half and finished the penalty. Almost got himself a second on Raya interception.
