Player Ratings – LAFC fall to the Houston Dynamo
LAFC fell to the Houston Dynamo 1-0 in a midweek fixture. It was a fairly lackluster performance from the home side, that left lot more questions to be asked about a team who has now gone winless in 6 games, all competitions.
Player Ratings:
Starting 11
McCarthy: 5/10 almost gave up a goal when he was dispossessed in his own box. Was unlucky to give up a goal on the dynamo goal because he made a decent save.
Maldonado: 4/10 – Didn’t have many positive influences on the game and got beat easily on the endline resulting in a dangerous chance.
Murillo: 5/10 –Had some good tackles in the back but that’s about it.
Chiellini: 5/10 – Was vulnerable on the counter but had some decent distribution.
Hollingshead:6/10 Had a crucial tackle on a counter that likely prevented a goal.
Ilie 4/10 – Didn’t pull the strings in the midfield like he normally does and got himself booked.
Palacios: 7/10 – Showed energy and skill on the left side.
Duenas: 5/10 – Had no notable involvements.
Bogusz: 5/10 Had a horrendous free kick in the first half. Served up a nice ball to vela, but ultimately more was needed from him in attack.
Vela: 4/10 – Questionable decision making at times and struggled to influence the game.
Biuk: 6/10 – Bright spot for LAFC in the first half and had some good sequences down the left, but disappeared in the second half.
SUBS
Opoku: 2/10 – Lost control and got himself a red card with a two footed challenge.
Crisostomo: 5/10 – Didn’t even notice he was subbed in. Could be a good thing?
Long: 6/10 – Provided some stability to the LAFC backline
